It was still night time, when I climbed into a tuk-tuk, wearing a smile that couldn’t be bigger and/or brighter. Hiking and partying from previous days maybe made my body a bit weary but my mind was alert and on cloud No.9.
Enjoying the ride and a bit of fresh air knowing it will get hot real soon, I was wondering does Siem Reap ever sleep. Heading up North through the dark, towards our destination, we were surrounded by other tuk-tuks, people having pretty much similar facial expressions to mine. I guess sunrise at Angkor Wat is well known and worth seeing. Continue reading Angkor Wat-greatest of them all
…or Things you didn’t know about Thailand.
(And let me tell you: there is a lot you didn’t know.)
What do you think of first when someone says “Thailand”? Sandy beaches? Turquoise waters? Partying with neon paint on your face? Lady boys? What ever it is that came across your mind first, you were right. Thailand is indeed heaven on Earth. Unique and simply awesome.

If you are a foodie like me, when you travel to a new place, you get excited about new foods just as much as about historical sights and other fun activities. If you are a foodie with a sweet tooth, Vienna is the place for you.
When I was heading to Vienna in January, I have to admit I didn’t expect to like it all that much. In my mind there was this castle to visit (I do like castles), there was Wiener Schnitzel to try (not a fan of veal) and ta-daaa, famous Sacher cake. Continue reading WHEN IN VIENNA… SACHER CAKE
I left Jasper early this morning. After almost a week of being with myself, taking myself for walks, dinner dates and enjoying my own company, clearing out my head, I had to say goodbye. Sitting in that tiny bus, gazing at the Christmas lights that were still on, leaving the town, I got the sudden urge to cry. It felt like I was leaving home.
Elisabeth Eaves wrote: The traveler always betrays the place. This is exactly how I felt this morning.

Lately, I’ve been going on and on (and on) about how much I love Canada. Pretty much just because it is sooo true. Also, I was wondering if I should write a post about the province I know quite well by now and that is Alberta.
But a problem occurred, how to put something so wonderful in few words. An article? Continue reading 17 pictures that will show you why Alberta, Canada is amazing
Even back in the day, before all these travels, when I had nothing but a pocket full of dreams (and a six pack! but those days are long gone), I was dreaming about travelling to all these amazing countries. I wanted to see Paris, city of love. I wanted to walk on amazing beaches in Bali. I wanted to party in Ibiza. Like many, many of you, I had a wishlist somewhere in the back of my mind.
Right now, as I am sat by the window, wearing my super cool onesie to stay warm, and freshly fallen snow on amazing Canadian ground catches my eye, I am ashamed to say-In those days, Canada was never on my list. Continue reading 31 SIGN I AM TURNING INTO A CANADIAN
-So, are they really majestic as they seem? That was the question my friend asked me as soon as I got back from Egypt. And without any hesitation, being completely honest, I could say: Oh, yes. Yes, they are.
Great, impressive and just a bit shinny under hot Egyptian sun.

So, I just got back from Egypt! Even though I am sick like a dog and my eyes are burning as I am typing these words, I can honestly say I had a dream holiday. One week full of history (yes, yes, the mighty pyramids), sun, sea and yummy cocktails on a beach in Sharm El Sheikh. And oh, yes, pretty strong mosquito bites that gave my legs nice shades of red and purple.
For you, just like it was for me, Egypt is probably synonym for hot, hot weather. And you are right. Some places have rain only few times a year, and some even less. But, this year it turned out to be quite different. They actually had a storm! Luckily, this happened on my last day there but I can tell you, it was an experience to remember.

When this spring it turned out I will be travelling to Ireland by business, I can’t say I wasn’t excited. It was a new place I’ve never visited before. However, the excitement wasn’t as big as it usually is, simply because it has never been on my bucket list.
Sure, I heard nice stories from few friends who went drinking to Dublin and I have seen few movies that involved Irish scenery . So, in my mind, it was all about greenery and good beer. I don’t drink beer. And I wasn’t going to Dublin.
