31 SIGN I AM TURNING INTO A CANADIAN

Even back in the day, before all  these travels, when I had nothing but a pocket full of dreams (and a six pack! but those days are long gone), I was dreaming about travelling to all these amazing countries. I wanted to see Paris, city of love. I wanted to walk on amazing beaches in Bali. I wanted to party in Ibiza. Like many, many of you, I had a wishlist somewhere in the back of my mind.
Right now, as I am sat by the window, wearing my super cool onesie to stay warm, and freshly fallen snow on amazing Canadian ground catches my eye, I am ashamed to say-In those days, Canada was never on my list. Continue reading 31 SIGN I AM TURNING INTO A CANADIAN

I EXPERIENCED STORM IN EGYPT!

So, I just got back from Egypt! Even though I am sick like a dog and my eyes are burning as I am typing these words, I can honestly say I  had a dream holiday. One week full of history (yes, yes, the mighty pyramids), sun, sea and  yummy cocktails on a beach in Sharm El Sheikh.  And oh, yes, pretty strong mosquito bites that gave my legs nice shades of red and purple.

For you, just like it was for me, Egypt is probably synonym for hot, hot weather. And you are right. Some places have rain only few times a year, and some even less. But, this year it turned out to be quite different. They actually had a storm! Luckily, this happened on my last day there but I can tell you, it was an experience to remember.

Letter to a 20 year old me

I am writing  this to you  as a 30 year old. Yep, a thirty year old woman. Ha, woman! All grown up and and still on a mission to conquer the world. Stronger and braver than ever, I’d say.

But we both know it wasn’t always like this. And brace yourself because, for you, things are gonna get much harder.

WHY YOU SHOULDN’T LET OTHERS TELL YOU HOW TO TRAVEL

Ever since I was little, I was in love with books. Nothing would make my day as sitting in my room, under warm blankets and going through pages of knowledge and stories to be discovered. There is something very special about new mystery that is about to unravel infront of your eyes.
As the times changed, books were often replaced with blogs, forums, and so on. Still, my love for a good read never changed. And it never will.

WAYS IN WHICH IRELAND SURPRISED ME

When this spring it turned out I will be travelling to Ireland by business, I can’t say I wasn’t excited. It was a new place I’ve never visited before. However, the excitement wasn’t as big as it usually is, simply because it has never been on my bucket list.
Sure, I heard nice stories from few friends who went drinking to Dublin and I have seen few movies that involved Irish scenery . So, in my mind, it was all about greenery and good beer. I don’t drink beer.  And I wasn’t going to Dublin.

HOW HAS TRAVELLING CHANGED ME

So, here we are. I mean, here I am. Sat in my room drinking coffee from my huge cup that says I love Canada. Simply because I do. And because I like coffee, too. Ok, I like big, goofy cups as well. But that’s not the point here. Point is-HERE I am. I just got back from amazing road-trip around Alberta, Canada. And I am about to stick my toes into desert sand for the third time this year. Life is good right now. Continue reading HOW HAS TRAVELLING CHANGED ME
